Went plein air painting in loxahatchee a few weeks ago. I hadn't done plein air in a few years, forgot how fun it is. Winter in Florida is really incredibly gorgeous! Great horned owl hatchlings were in a tree nearby, which drew the birders. There is a great farm stand u-pickem place near the entrance which we hit on the way out. Just looking at the photos I can hear the birds, and feel "the florida of swamps and silences..."
